Been to Pattaya City twice now, first time was in June 2005, then back at Christmas 2008. What a phenomenal place! It supplies for everybody: if your looking for well-meaning Thai people there is plenty of them, if your looking for authentic food there is a great deal and night life is amazing. If you want a low-budget vacation, you can have it - if you want a expensive vacation, you can have it also. My friend is totally in love with the place and has just bought into a hotel over there. My children love it too. What a fantastic place to celebrate Christmas!
